“Since 1975, the Tennessee Historical Commission Certificate of Merit Awards Program has honored individuals, publications, projects, and programs that contribute to historic preservation and/or history efforts of our state. I am pleased to inform you that you have been awarded a Preservation Leadership Award by the Tennessee Historical Commission. This award designation is rarely bestowed, and you were nominated by your friends on the staff of the Tennessee Historical Commission. This honor acknowledges the outstanding work you have done during your tenure as director at Knox Heritage. You are very much appreciated here, and we wish you the best as you settle in to the next phase of your career.”
